• How it works?

    • How does Secret Saviours work?

Three amazing products, stretch mark support-wear, Day Gel and Night Cream combine to become the world’s first scientifically proven 3-step stretch mark support system.

The first step is the application of The Day Gel, made from a luxurious blend of ethically sourced, scientifically proven ingredients. This soothing gel has been formulated to keep the unique pads on the support-wear in place.

The next step is to pull on the stretch mark support-wear, tacky pads facing inwards, which has been designed to provide bump support throughout the day. It’s special pads are arranged in a unique way to hold your skin in place and even out stresses across the tummy, making it harder for stretch marks to form. Pads printed onto shorties and leggings also protect your legs and bottom, whilst pads on the bra protect your breasts.

The support-wear fits snugly over and under your bump and the pads should leave a light impression on your skin, that means it’s working!

Step three is the removal of the stretch mark support-wear and the application of The Night Cream to ensure your skin remains well moisturised, soft, smooth and supple.

    • How do I know which support-wear garment to choose?

All of our support-wear is equally as effective and fits snugly around the area of your body you are trying to prevent getting stretch marks.

If you are only interested in preventing stretch marks on your bump then we suggest you buy a Bump Band or Briefs, both are just as effective, however we have had feedback from customers telling us that those with hour glass or pear shaped figures find briefs suit them better and those with an apple or rectangular figure tend to prefer our band.

If you want to prevent stretch marks on your bottom and legs too, then try our Shorts or Leggings. Our Bra has been designed to prevent stretch marks on your breasts.

    • What's the difference between the Bump Band and Full-Briefs?

The Bump Band and Full-Briefs have both been developed with Derma Dot™, Technology, so are equally as efficient at stopping stretch marks.

They are also equally comfortable, mould to your changing body and both offer under bump and back support. However, the Full-Briefs offer a more flexible, all round support and are slightly less restrictive.

If you have an hourglass or pear-shaped figure you may get on better with the Full-Briefs or if you have a rectangle or apple-shaped figure you may prefer the Bump Band. At the end of the day, it's really down to personal choice!

    • How are these products different from existing Pregnancy Bands, gels and creams?

Secret Saviours is the only clinically proven system shown to prevent stretch marks forming in up to 70% of women (a subsequent independent consumer trial has put this figure at 82%). No other stretch mark prevention products anywhere on the market have had these proven outstanding results.

Creams and gels alone do not prevent stretch marks. You can read more about this in the independent Cochrane Report.

    • When should I start using the stretch mark support-wear kit?

For best results, we recommend wearing the support-wear from weeks 12-14 of pregnancy, or when your bump starts to show. Although the support-wear will gently expand with your growing body, some women need to size up during their pregnancy.

To more accurately determine your size, it's best to refer to our size guides on the product pages.

The support-wear stretches very well and many women find that they need just one size for their whole pregnancy. However if your support-wear starts to feel tight you will need to purchase the next size up.

We estimate a support-wear will last for 3 months if worn every day and washed approximately 80 times.

If you would like to send your measurement to us, we can advise you on sizing.

    • Can I just use the Day Gel/Night Cream and not the stretch mark support-wear? Or the stretch mark support-wear without the Day Gel/ Night Cream?

No. For your best chance of avoiding stretch marks, you must use all three products together as directed, as they each have a role to play in the prevention.

The Stretch Mark support-wear, Day Gel and Night Cream are available to purchase separately, but this should only be an option if you run out of gel or cream, or if you require addtional support-wear.

    • Can I use the support-wear on its own or with an alternative gel or cream?

We don’t recommend you buy support-wear without the Secret Saviours Day Gel and Night Cream. The Day Gel has been specifically designed to moisturise yet remain tacky, ensuring the pads on the support-wear grip the skin and stay in place. Other gels or oils could degrade the special pads, making the support-wear less effective.

And The Secret Saviours Night Cream has been specifically formulated to restore the balance of your pregnant body. It’s been blended with Centella Asiatica, vitamin E and B5 to nourish and soothe your skin once the stretch mark support-wear has been removed at the end of the day.

    • How do I choose the correct size?

Please see our size guide for advice on how to measure yourself and select the size you need. We recommend you use the size guide on the product page you are interested in.

    • How do I know if I need to go up a size?

You’ll know when you need a larger size as your stretch mark support-wear will begin to feel a bit too tight and uncomfortable.

    • I have itchy skin on my bump and body – what do I do?

Itching skin is common in pregnancy. If you find you are itchy, first remove your stretch mark support-wear for 10-15 minutes and re-apply the gel two or three times further throughout the day. This should help soothe your skin. If irritation persists, seek medical advice.

    • Do I wear the stretch mark support-wear at night?

No, you can take stretch mark support-wear off at night, in bed. Gravity will, in effect, take the stresses off the skin over your pregnancy bump. The only product you need to use at night is our Night Cream.

    • Can I use the Band or Full-Briefs after my baby is born – and for how long?

Yes. Women who’ve continued to wear the band or briefs for two to four weeks after delivery, until their bump has gone down, found it very supportive.

    • I used Secret Saviours and I still got stretch marks.

During the clinical trial of the 3-Step Secret Saviours system, the incidence of stretch marks occurring during pregnancy dropped from 70% down to just 30%.

Unfortunately, there will still be some instances where the mechanical support of the patented pads, cannot wholly prevent stretch marks occurring in a small percentage of women, and we are sorry that this has happened to you, this is unlikely to be a comfort, but using the product will almost certainly have reduced the number and severity of those stretch marks.

  • Product Information

    • What's the lifespan of the support-wear?

We estimate that with daily use they will last approximately 80 washes or 3-4 months.

    • How do I wash the stretch mark support-wear and how often?

Your Stretch Mark support-wear can be machine washed up to 30º. Air dry naturally, but avoid a direct heat source and do not tumble dry or dry clean as this may damage the pads. You can wash the stretch mark support-wear as often as necessary.

    • Where are the products made?

The support-wear is made in the EU and then the pads applied in Turkey.

The Day Gel and Night Cream are made in the UK. Both are dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic and use only ethically sourced ingredients. They are also paraben free.

  • Safety

    • My Stretch Mark support-wear is quite tight, will it harm my baby?

We can reassure you that the support-wear will not harm the baby. The level of compression is minimal to the inside of the abdomen as the baby 'swims' in amniotic fluid, water (in effect) is not at all compressible, so baby will have just as much 'room' to move around, with or without support-wear present.

The Stretch Mark support-wear should fit snugly over your bump and the special pads should leave an impression on your skin - this means it’s working!

    • Are the creams safe to use in pregnancy ?

Our product has been created and designed by Medical Experts (a vascular surgeon and a skin tissue engineer) in conjunction with UCLH (University College London Hospital) and all ingredients are safe for use in pregnancy. Our product has been clinically trialled (and proven), is dermatologically tested and is also hypo allergenic.

We do have to have some chemicals in our product otherwise The Day Gel and The Night Cream would have no shelf life, but they are in extremely small doses and neither the Day Gel or Night cream are absorbed into the blood stream.

    • Is it safe to use Phenoxyethanol in pregnancy?

Our product has been created and designed by Medical Experts and all our ingredients are safe for use in pregnancy. Phenoxyethanol is used in a very low concentration (less than 0.5%) - to preserve our product - without it The Day Gel and The Night Cream would have no shelf life. Neither are absorbed into the blood stream and therefore pose no risk to you or your baby.

We are aware that the FDA in 2008 did issue a warning regarding Phenoxyethanol, but it was specifically related to a Nipple Cream because it can be harmful to nursing infants. This is because infants were being exposed to this product as a food, because they were putting their mouth on their mother’s breast and potentially injesting the product. There is no mention in the FDA warning about any danger to the mother by rubbing the nipple cream on their skin.

The European Union and Japan both approve its use up to that 1% level and our formulas fall well below the recommendation.

    • I have an existing scar from a previous Caesarean section, can I use the Day Gel and Night Cream on it?

Yes, both our Day Gel and Night Cream are perfectly safe for you to use on C-section scars as they contain soothing ingredients which are proven to help heal wounds.

  • Stretch marks

    • If I’m already beginning to get stretch marks, is it too late for me to start using Secret Saviours?

It’s never too late to start using our products and preventing your stretch marks from escalating, even if you’re in your last few weeks of pregnancy. There is a very good chance that Secret Saviours 3-step system will stop them from forming further.

    • Will Secret Saviours get rid of existing stretch marks?

Nothing completely gets rid of stretch marks once they’ve formed, apart from cosmetic surgery. Prevention in the first place using Secret Saviours is far more preferrable. However, using our Day Gel and Night Cream may well help reduce the appearance of existing ones.

    • If I got stretch marks with my previous pregnancy/pregnancies, will Secret Saviours be able to prevent them when I am pregnant again?

Yes, there is every chance that new and additional stretch marks can be prevented using our products and if you do get some new ones, they are very likely to be significantly reduced in both number and overall appearance.

  • Exercise

    • Can I use the stretch mark support-wear during exercise?

You certainly can! It’s similar to using a supportive sports bra or leggings. It’ll also help reduce strain on your lower back and post-exercise fatigue may be more tolerable.

    • Can I swim in Bump Band and Full-Briefs?

There’s no need to wear your support-wear while swimming as water supports your bump. After swimming (and similarly, after a shower or bath taken during the day), remember to re-apply the Day Gel before putting your stretch mark support-wear back on again.
