Trimester 2 Checklist 🤰 Can’t believe I’m at the end of my favourite trimester already! Here are my must-haves and must-do’s 💗 1. Pregnancy pillow - for me the bigger the better 😆 and don’t be afraid to invest early. My sleep is always so much more comfortable with one! 💤 2. Big drinks cup - increased metabolic rate, 30%+ increase in blood and growing a human is thirsty work and I have no time to go to the tap every 10 minutes. Just be prepared to be heading to the bathroom 100 times a day 🏃‍♀️ 3. Bump care - this will be my third pregnancy using secretsavioursco which I’m so sure has prevented me from getting any stretch marks 🤞 I’ve also made sure to keep my skin as hydrated as possible and the zowena.skincare barrier support oil (PR) instantly makes my skin feel amazing. Plus making sure you drink lots of water will maintain your skin’s elasticity 🧴 4. Exercise - I can’t tell you how much this has helped me physically and mentally. My first pregnancy I suffered with terrible pelvic girdle pain, but since adding resistance training I have had hardly any symptoms. I’ve managed to maintain a resistance class once a week, walk 10k steps roughly 4 times a week and introduced weekly yoga from about 15 weeks. While most yoga instructors can accommodate pregnancy i’d definitely recommend seeking out a pregnancy yoga class, they tend to be popular so get your name down early. It’s great for labour prep and also meeting other mums to be 💗 and don’t forget those pelvic floor exercises! 🏋️‍♂️ 5. Osteopath - another thing I started during my second pregnancy to avoid getting pelvic girdle pain again and have done again during my third pregnancy. Your body changes so much and your posture adjusts a lot as baby grows, having a regular session with a women’s health osteopath can make sure you keep yourself feeling as comfortable as possible as well as help ensure optimal pelvic alignment and optimal position of the baby which can encourage a smoother delivery👌 Other things to think about: vitamins, birth plan, maternity leave, travel systems, and baby furniture 💗 What other things are on your trimester 2 checklist?
