If you are on a tight budget a weekend getaway could be perfect for you. A weekend in a cosy cottage somewhere and a break from the hustle and bustle of life can make you feel much more relaxed as you head towards birth. If you can afford a week away then you can’t beat a week in the sun! it’s fab for vitamin D and the relaxation will be second to none as you can shrug off all those responsibilities at the check in gate! Just remember that your skin can be so different during pregnancy and sunscreen is a must!
If you already have children you may want to take them away with you. It’s your last time as that family unit and it’s a chance to show your child a bit of fun before the world revolves around feeds and nappy change. A babymoon is so important. Of course you don’t have to go on a baby moon. You can explore your home town or villages nearby over a weekend. Book into a spa. Do something for you - we highly recommend it!
It allows you time to reflect on the changes approaching yet gives you the freedom to spend time with each other without any work/home challenges.
You’ll get some quality time with your partner without distraction. You can talk about plans for the future or your hopes/fears for labour and have some proper time to talk about it all.
It’s a chance to do something romantic before labour day! Country walks, massages together, a dinner out, baths and chill out time. Whatever your style of romance it’s essential to remember that although you’ll be parents you appreciate and love each other.
