Seven Pregnancy Beauty Must Haves

We’ve chosen some of the best beauty buys for mums-to-be. You’ll make a run for the shops so fast, you’ll forget you’re even pregnant!

Good news, people! We’ve just discovered an easy way to live like a royal. According to reports, the Duchess of Cambridge – pregnant with her second tot – has been dowsing herself (or, at least, her face) in Trilogy Rosehip Oil. And it only costs £16.50 at Boots!

A hush-hush source told US Weekly, “Kate is very cautious of products and treatments,” and that she “uses Rosehip Oil in her daily skincare regime. She loves the effect it has on her skin.” Even Kate’s mum Carole loves it, according to the anonymous chatterbox.

So that’s how you get that ‘glow’, eh Kate?

Inspired by such a revelation, we felt compelled to round up some top beauty products to use during your pregnancy.

Speaking of pregnancy glow, we know that indulging in a complete faux tan might not be quite what baby ordered. But friends could be tricked into thinking summer’s come early with Green People’s Self Tan Lotion (£19.95). The organic company says you can “achieve a natural looking tan without harmful sun exposure” and it even includes the ingredient of the moment: rosehip.

Keep your hair in tip-top shape with Organix’s Weightless Hydration Coconut Water shampoo (£8.07) and conditioner (£8.99), both available from Amazon.

Reviewers agree the products have a great aroma and give amazing shine without being too heavy. Sold!

Also, try Aveda’s Beautifying Composition – mysterious and vague, we’ll explain. Great for tension relief, it’s a conditioning body oil that can also be used on the hair and scalp. Made with jojoba oil, rosemary and bergamot, you can consider your troubles a thing of the past.

Some prefer to dye their hair less frequently during pregnancy (check with your doctor if unsure). For all your root needs, Color Wow (from the folks at John Frieda Hair Care) is one of our favourite products for touch-ups between appointments (£28.50).

Finally, it just so happens that women who’ve been using Secret Saviours reckon our Bump Support Pack is a pregnancy must-have, particularly the Night Cream. (Blushing.)

Dermatologically tested with not a paraben in sight and made from hypoallergenic ingredients, the Night Cream has been described as “lush” by the discerning mum-to-be. And with scents like bergamot, rose, patchouli and geranium, we’re not surprised.

Part of the Secret Saviours Bump Support Pack, the deeply moisturising Night Cream (£23.99) offers that much-needed ‘Me Time’ vital during pregnancy and helps keep your skin smooth and soft, all while smelling like a dream. What’s more, it can be used all over the body and not just on your bump. So you can really go wild with it!
