Nail It! Mani/Pedi Ideas

From new products to buy now to fabulous nail bars

You’re pregnant! It’s the perfect excuse to pamper yourself – and that includes mani/pedis.

Nail Bars

If you love to sit back and relax while you have your cuticles taken care of, check out Aveda’s salon and spa in Covent Garden. Manicures range from 15 minutes (£15) to an hour (£48) and Shellac is available (£43).

Or head east to Shoreditch and visit Barber & Parlour’s Cheeky Parlour, part of the Soho House crew. The Cheeky Works Manicure will cost you £20 and takes half an hour.

If you really want to express yourself through nail art, Reecey Roo’s is the spot for you. This place is a nail addict’s dream. Dedicated to manicures from a classic service to unique designs (from £5), you can even pimp your nails with diamonds, studs and 3-D embellishments (from 30p). Try their Billionaire’s Heaven pedicure for a good scrub – and maybe skip the free champagne…

For those of you at the nine-month mark (or 10…), you will love us for this one. Milk Home Therapy is a mobile beauty service that brings the spa to your doorstep, even in the evening. So no running around trying to make trains or hailing cabs for you! You can even customise your pedicure (£40 for 40 minutes) with a foot and leg or Indian head massage (£10 and £15). Where have they been all our lives?!

Paint the town red – or silver, or orange – with OPI’s ColorPaints 6 Piece Mini Pack (£19.95). The beauty of this set is that they’re all made with a silver base, enabling the colours to be mixed to make “ultra-luminous” and “vivid” shades!

Barry M is a favourite with one member of our Secret Saviours team. The brand’s Peach For The Stars (£4.99) from its new Sunset Nail Paint 4 range offers a long-lasting, pro-salon gel finish for a fraction of the price.

Nails Inc are taking it back to the Seventies with their new Primrose Hill Walk Luxe Boho nail polish (£15). Bright and fun with sparkles for days, it’s packed with dense cut particles in cream, peach and hot pink and can be applied over a nude or pastel shade for impact.

For the more subtle mani lovers, you’ll love Rimmel’s collaboration with Kate Moss. New to the Salon Pro By Kate range is the Nude Collection, featuring this Bare Yourself shade. “There’s a nude for every girl.”
